Ol’ Madness has officially released their long-anticipated project Boot Camp Madness — a hard-hitting collaboration featuring some of the most iconic voices in hip-hop history. This record isn't just a tribute to that gritty golden-era sound — it’s a full-blown operation.

Featuring legendary members of Boot Camp Clik — including Sean Price, Buckshot, Smif-N-Wessun, Rockness Monsta, and Ruste Juxx — this record blends the tactical lyricism of the East Coast underground with the militant mindset of Ol’ Madness’ own: Vynez, Barabbas tha MC, and Dun-Dee Willie E.

Prepare to Ascend: Vynez, TDP & Dundee Announce New EP “Kami” Dropping September 1st
The next chapter in the Ol’ Madness legacy arrives September 1st. The trio of Vynez, TDP, and Dundee return with a tightly packed, five-track EP titled “Kami”—a spiritually charged boom bap body of work that blends myth, anime, and lyrical warfare into one elevated offering.
The word Kami (神) is Japanese for "God" or "Divine Spirit"—a theme that pulses throughout the EP. Drawing influence from both Eastern and Western mythology, the project references divine figures like Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and chaos, while also nodding to Kami, the guardian of Earth in Dragon Ball Z—himself a god-like protector and creator of the Dragon Balls. These themes of duality, guardianship, destruction, and transcendence set the tone.
While skits pulled from Dragon Ball Z serve as short interludes, fans shouldn't expect a concept album locked solely in anime references. Kami is about power in all forms—divine, lyrical, and ancestral. It’s about commanding your space with presence and purpose. And as always, the signature styles of Vynez, TDP, and Dundee shine with clever wordplay, complex rhyme patterns, and gritty soul.
From divine chaos to mortal struggle, Kami holds nothing back.
